Hope has an active group of middle school and high school students who are engaged on many levels at the church. From playing crazy games at youth group, to helping out Sunday mornings with children’s church, our teens are what make Hope a church for the whole family! There are youth group events offered to both middle school and high school students during the school year and summer. A highlight of our middle school and high school ministries is the Great Escape. The Great Escape is a weekend youth retreat that happens each January. What began with just 40 kids our first year has grown into over 150 students from many churches all over New Jersey. Don’t miss out on this awesome weekend!
Another highlight for our youth are our annual mission trips to the Dominican Republic and Appalachia. These trips have been life changing experiences for our students as they have experience firsthand the needs in the world we live in and have been empowered to make a real difference in the lives of the people there.
“This is the kind of mission trip where you go there expecting to change lives, but you are the one that ends up leaving changed. The Dominican Republic is a real eye opener to poverty around the world that we don't see here in America. The people there have nothing, but their hearts are more filled with love for Jesus and others than I have ever seen. That's probably what has left the biggest impression on me.”
-Cara Grassano, freshman in college
“I enjoyed my time on ASP because I was forced to rely on God to make things happen. Also I grew closer to God being around other Christians and the people I was serving.”
-Titus Ridgway, sophomore in high school
